Cybersecurity for payments: Global Protection for
Fintechs, Online Stores, Platforms, SaaS & Apps, Stablecoins, Banks & BaaS, PayFacs & MoR
in real time.

The protection layer on the payer's screen. The payment request is verified in the instant, and any attack or alteration is blocked without affecting your transactions.

The problem is in the news

The blind spot

Your infrastructure is secure. The screen where your customer pays is not.

The attack doesn’t break into your server or pass through your fraud screening. It changes the payment after the page reaches the buyer’s browser: it swaps the QR code, copies the card, alters the payment details. To you and to your customer, the screen looks identical.

Your server is intact, your fraud screening approves and your gateway processes as usual. The diversion happens between what you issued and what the customer confirms, the one stretch none of them can see. That is where Proteside works.

How it works

Four layers between the scam and your payment

A single installation on your payment page. No need to switch providers, no friction for genuine buyers.

  • 1

    Record

Proteside learns what’s legitimate on your page: the QR code and payment key you issued, the form fields, the authorized scripts and where data is allowed to go.

  • 2

    Check

In the payer’s browser, on every payment, it compares what’s on screen, and what gets copied, with what you issued.

  • 3

    Block

If anything doesn’t match, the swap is blocked before the payment is confirmed. Legitimate payments go through as usual.

  • 4

    Prove

Every attempt becomes an alert and an auditable record, the same trail that demonstrates PCI DSS requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1.

50+ protected payment methods

One layer for every payment method in the world, on your page

Each payment method has its own typical scam: a swapped QR code, a fake form, a tampered payment code, a replaced wallet address. The check is the same for all of them, from the corner shop to an instant payment on another continent.

Comparison

Protecting scripts is just the starting point. Proteside goes further and protects the payment.

Payment page security tools take care of scripts and PCI DSS. Proteside does that and goes further: it compares the QR code, the payment code and the wallet address shown on screen with what your server issued.

Compliance

The same layer that blocks the attack produces the evidence your auditor asks for

Since March 31, 2025, PCI DSS has required an inventory and authorization of every script on the payment page (6.4.3) and detection of unauthorized changes (11.6.1). Proteside delivers both as a by-product of protection.

  • 6.4.3: scripts under control

Automatic inventory, authorization with a written justification and a change history for every script.

  • 11.6.1: tampering detected

Continuous monitoring of the payment page with real-time alerts, far beyond the weekly minimum.

  • Audit-ready evidence

An exportable report for your QSA, acquirer and financial partners. No spreadsheets, no screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

What is Proteside?

Proteside is a cybersecurity layer for the moment of online payment. In the payer’s browser, it checks that the payment details on screen (card form, QR code and payment key, boleto payment code, wallet address or instant-payment QR code) are exactly what the seller issued, and it blocks any swap before the payment is confirmed.

Which payment methods does Proteside protect?

Pix, credit cards, debit cards, boleto, stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies, digital wallets and payment links, plus instant payments in other countries: UPI (India), PayNow/SGQR (Singapore), DuitNow (Malaysia), PromptPay (Thailand), QR Ph (Philippines), FPS (Hong Kong), CoDi (Mexico) and Transferencias 3.0 (Argentina). One installation covers every method shown on the page.

Is Proteside a fraud prevention tool?

No. Fraud prevention assesses whether the buyer can be trusted. Proteside makes sure the payment page hasn’t been tampered with and that a legitimate buyer’s money goes to the right place. The two layers complement each other.

Do I need to change my gateway, payment provider or platform?

No. Proteside works on top of what you already use: any e-commerce platform, custom checkout, payment link or web application.

Does Proteside slow down checkout or block legitimate sales?

No. Checks run in the background and only step in when what’s on screen doesn’t match what was issued. Genuine buyers notice no difference.

Does Proteside help with PCI DSS?

Yes. It automatically produces evidence for requirements 6.4.3 (inventory and authorization of payment page scripts) and 11.6.1 (detection of unauthorized changes), in a format ready for your QSA and acquirer.

How much does Proteside cost?

The Store and Business plans have public pricing based on checkout pageview volume, with a 14-day free trial, and are listed on the pricing page. Enterprise businesses, platforms, payment providers and partners buy by volume or per active store, with a tailored proposal.

Does Proteside collect buyers’ personal data?

Not to check integrity. The check compares the payment details on screen with those that were issued, without storing card numbers or sensitive buyer data. Data handling follows Brazil’s data protection law (LGPD), with privacy by design.
